They were real lovers once upon a time, they are back together once again, but this time on reel. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are getting all cosy and romantic, on screen in Manali. They are shooting for director Ayaan Mukherjee’s film Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. 

Actors Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin are also with them. If sources are to be believed, the ex lovers are pretty cordial and are bonding well, without any awkwardness between them. One thing that we have to appreciate about Ranbir and Deepika is that despite their relationship issues, they did not let their personal life affect their professional life.

Deepika bumps into ex-flame Ranbir

Everybody knows that Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are no longer an item, but people still look with suspicion every time they meet. Recently, they bumped into each other, and it hit the headlines.

It happened on the sets of Kofee With Karan. The Ranbir Kapoor-Imran Khan episode and the Sonam Kapoor-Deepika Padukone episode were shot on the same day. So, it was inevitable for the ex-flames to meet.

Surprisingly, the duo was seen chatting cordially like the way old friends do. They looked comfortable in each other’s company and showed no sign of bitterness.

Deepika Padukone gets ignored by kapoor family again

It seems there is no end to the worries of Deepika Padukone. Even after the fact that Ranbir Kapoor is trying to get back to her, the actress is still going through a rough patch in her life. Now, the latest development has only added salt to her scars.

It's learnt that Randhir Kapoor (Ranbir Kapoor's uncle) recently invited the cast of the upcoming film HOUSEFULL to his home for dinner. Deepika, who also stars in the film, was not invited giving rise to speculations that the Kapoors preferred to keep her at a distance and that she was not welcome in the Kapoor Khandaan.

In the past too, Ranbir Kapoor's parents have not approved of their son's affair with Deepika Padukone. Now, despite Ranbir's wish to get back her lady love, it seems the parental disapproval might prove to be a stumbling factor once again.

Deepika padukone Get Tattooed Again

It was during the shooting of a new film by Ashutosh Gowarikar that this incident took place. According to reports there was a fight sequence being shot for the film ‘Kheleinge Jee Jaan se’, which stars Actress Deepika Padukone.

As the shots were being readied she had her hair tied. Then the shooting started and somewhere midway the director happened to see a tattoo on Deepika’s left shoulder blade. Immediately the cameras were stopped from rolling further and the director asked Deepika to open her hair so that the tattoo would be hidden.

The tattoo was the last remembrance of the Ranbir- Deepika relationship which has gone sour. The tattoo has a RK written with some motif on it. But sadly enough the actress couldn’t say anything to her director and quietly did as she was told to do.

Coming to the director, it is reported that Ashutosh is a very strict one as far as discipline and work are concerned. He does not hesitate to say no when he thinks he has to. So, according to insiders no one can put his or her foot down and command unreasonable things while working under his banner.

So all said and done, it is okay if the rules are followed during the making of a film otherwise how can a film of the magnitude of Jodha Akbar be made ?

Deepika Ranbir-in Mile Sure Mera Tumhara Song Remake

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara, the song on national integration that used to air on TV in 1988 is about to return with a whole new different look and different stars. Ad filmmaker Kailash Surendranath and his wife Aarti had produced the song. They are now bringing a new version of the song back with new artistes. The original featured celebrities from different fields like acting, sports and music.

Only one artiste is the same as that in the old version is Amitabh Bachchan. He revealed that his part of the shoot was at Taj hotel. He also reveals that a part of the original song, composed by Louis Banks and P Vaidyanathan, was sung by him. His son, Abhishek and daughter-in-law, Aishwarya have also featured in the new version.

Ranbir Kapoor was chosen for the song as the youth icon. Ranbir shot for his parts at Yash Raj Studios in Film City. Some more people from the acting world to feature in the song are Deepika Padukone and Shilpa Shetty. Deepika proudly states that her father was in the first one, now she’s in the second. The news was confirmed by Aarti Surendranath who didn’t divulge anymore details stating that they wanted to keep it quiet until it was ready.

Deepika Ranbir Fight Due to katrina kaif

Mumbai: The two hot babes of Bollywood are not taking up arms against each other. The recent stories of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina affair had hit the tabloids during the shoot of Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani.

This is making Deepika insecure and she blames Katrina for the rumors. Katrina herself claimed that she shares good chemistry with the Kapoor boy and she is very’comfortable’ working with him. Katrina even went on to say they have similar visions about films.

Deepika’s association with Farhan Akhtar is also seen with a questionable eye by the media and she blames Katrina to spread such things to spoil her relation with Ranbir.

According to a source close to Kat “What can she possibly get by spreading stories about Deepika? She is not the sort of person to resort to mud-slinging. Someone is creating a misunderstanding between them.”

Neetu Singh finally accepts Deepika Padukone

Yes you have heard it right; Neetu Singh has finally nodded for the love of his son. Initially there was a buzz that Neetu never liked Deepika but in a press conference Ranbir clears the air around.

“In a press conference when media asked Ranbir of whether his mom has accepted Deepika, the actor immediately of course she likes Deepika a lot and started blushing,”

Deepika Padukone at Fiama Di Wills New product launch

The 23-year-old Deepika Padukone is the brand ambassador of Fiama Di Wills and she recently launched two new soap variants of Fiama , which is also the associate sponsor of the upcoming Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WLIFW). She also unveiled designer Sumeet Varma’s preview collection for WLIFW titled ‘The Life of a Swan-Swan lake’.
On the occasion Deepika spoke out on a variety of topics including the fact that she is eagerly awaiting the release of her forthcoming ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ where she plays a bold role.

”’Karthik Calling Karthik’ is a romantic thriller and my role is quite bold and optimistic in the film as opposite to Farhan’s which is a very pessimistic one,” Deepika told reporters adding, “It is a tough film and was a very challenging role.”

Directed by Vijay Lalwani, the film is about a man who gets phone calls from himself. It is co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment and Amit Chandra and Vijay Lalwani of Magic Beans.

About her Diwali plans, Deepika said: “I will be with my family.”

Deepika Padukone was last seen in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and talking about the success of the film, she said, ”I am glad that people have liked it and it is a hit. I think it’s a step towards more interesting and realistic cinema. A lot of people who have been through an experience like that have actually related to the film.”

Deepika Padukone surprises Ranbir

Actress Deepika Padukone surely knows how to make her boyfriend happy. She surprised Ranbir Kapoor by throwing a party on his birthday on Sunday night. She also gifted him a sleek and high-end laptop.

Deepika took Ranbir to a restaurant for dinner on his birthday. However, he was welcomed by a throng of friends including Wake Up Sid director Ayan Mukerji and Rohit Dhawan, who were called in by Deepika. It is said that he was thrilled to see his old friends. Thoughtful Deepika also presented him a laptop, as she knew that he's a net savvy.


It is also said that Ranbir watched the first trial of his film Wake Up Sid with Deepika and his parents on his birthday. Wake Up Sid is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Ayan Mukerji. It features Konkona Sen Sharma in the female lead role and is set for release this Friday, 2nd October.

Deepika's Parents are Very Supportive

Many of the Bollywood actors may be faced with parental pressure one way or the other but not Deepika Padukone, who is a free bird as far as her career is concerned.

"When we meet personally at home, we don't discuss much about films because we don't have knowledge," Deepika's unassuming father, Prakash Padukone, a badminton legend, said.

"Our only job when we meet her is to make sure that she remains grounded and she is in touch with the reality because film world is different, (and there is) lot of hype. It's a different world"

Deepika is making wise moves

Deepika Padukone seems to be playing her cards very well. After working with Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, Saif Ali Khan in Love Aaj Kal and Akshay Kumar in Chandni Chowk To China, she is now aiming to work with Salman Khan, despite her equation with Sallu's girlfriend, Katrina Kaif.

Deepika feels Salman is a very honest person. She finds him to be genuine about what he feels and from what she has read and known about him, he seems to be very caring.

Deepika and Salman hit it off like a house on fire when she appeared on his show, Dus Ka Dum.

Interestingly, she has appeared on his show twice.

First, she came with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor to promote their film, Bachna Ae Haseeno and more recently, she came with Farah Khan and gelled quite well with Salman.

But Deepika is not interested in talking about Katrina.

Not long ago, it was reported that she didn't approve of beau Ranbir and Kat's growing friendship on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani.

Reports are rife that Deepika is responsible for the duo being no longer on talking terms. But she claims she and Ranbir "trust each other" and are going great guns.

The lady says, "Such gossip used to pinch me a lot earlier, but not anymore." On the work front, after the box office dud Chandni Chowk To China, Deepika is once again teaming up with Akshay for a comedy, Housefull, which is being directed by Sajid Khan.

Plus, she is also busy with Farhan Akhtar-starrer Kartik Calling Kartik.

Ranbir's mom isn't upset with me: Deepika

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has dismissed rumours that her boyfriend actor Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Singh is upset with her.

"I believe that if there was any truth in this, she (Neetu) would tell me herself and not through newspapers and media. I think she's an extremely talented and mature person, so why would she tell the media and not speak with me directly?" said Deepika in a TV interview to a private channel.

Deepika, who has been in relationship with Ranbir - son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu - for almost a year now, teamed up with her beau in Bachna Ae Haseeno. She said both of them are professionals when it comes to work.

"We both are very professional. Sometimes I don't come to know whether the film I'm offered is also offered to Ranbir. We don't speak about our films that much because it would be extremely unprofessional.

"We read scripts separately and meet directors separately too and this may be the reason that post Bachna Ae Haseeno we haven't done any film together," she said.

Ranbir Kapoor can't live without seeing Deepika

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder. But Ranbir Kapoor doesn't seem to believe in the adage. The actor couldn't wait to see his girlfriend Deepika Padukone and travelled all the way to Karjat to meet her.

Deepika, who is shooting for Karthik Calling Karthik with Farhan Akhtar in Karjat, was in for a pleasant surprise. Without letting her know, Ranbir decided to land up on the set and surprise her. A source reveals, "Ranbir was shooting for Rocket Singh within city limits.

Since Deepika has been holed up in Karjat, the two didn't get enough time to spend with each other. Hence, Ranbir decided to visit Deepika. That way, the two would get to spend some quality time during their journey back to the city."

The source adds, "Deepika was on cloud nine when she saw Ranbir. She's always on the phone with him in between shots. Contrary to rumours, everything is great between the two and they are madly in love with each other. However since Deepika is busy with her film and ad endorsements, the last few weeks the two lovebirds hadn't met each other for long."

A close pal of the couple reveals, “Last week Deepika was to join Ranbir for going to Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani’s birthday party late at night. Since she got stuck due to her work commitments (shooting of Excel Entertainment’s Kartik Calling Kartik), Ranbir told her he would go alone to the party. But despite telling her so, he didn’t go there. Instead he chose to attend another party that had his debut film Saawariya heroine Sonam Kapoor and her good friend Kunal Kapoor.


“He didn’t tell this to Deepika who was well under the impression for days that he was at Tarun’s party. The birthday party saw new love birds Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra making an entry and exit together publicly for the first time. John Abraham and Bipasha Basu too came in for the bash. When Deepika came to know about Ranbir’s lie, it is learnt that she lambasted him over the phone while he kept giving her excuses such as how it was all a last minute change in his plan etc.”

Also, just days back, Ranbir’s sister Riddhima told to a news channel journo on TV that she doesn’t think Deepika is Ranbir’s girlfriend and that she knows Deepika only as one of his good friends

Another story doing the rounds is Ranbir Kapoor’s apparent fondness for co-star Katrina Kaif.
